Legend Has It is an anthology mythmaking card game for one or more players where you create legends prompted by excerpts from the books on your shelves. Take turns telling stories with your friends!

Anthology

In Legend Has It, you'll be telling a collection of stories with your table that revolve around a central theme. By the end of the game you'll have a complete anthology of interwoven myths.

As you play, you'll be placing timeline cards on the table. The lines on the cards represent the storylines in your mythos, with stories ending and starting anew as you play the game.

Mythmaking

The myths you make can take many forms. The game includes six frameworks for different types of mythos you can structure your game around.

Card Game

Legend Has It is a card game. It will be printed by the GameCrafter and takes advantage of their Hook Box form factor to print all of the main rules right on the inside of the fold-out box. The game has 54 cards in a variety of types:

Playable Digital Tabletop

This file is a fully playable version of the game with all of the core cards that you need to play the game in the digital tabletop playingcards.io. You’ll just need to make a custom room and import this file in the Room Options pane of the Edit Table mode. You can use this to explore the cards in the game or even play it for review! The final release of the game will include a file like this, as well as a printer friendly print-and-play option for backers to choose.

Testimonials

Legend Has It makes me excited about once again using all the books that are collecting dust on my shelf. A great way to revisit passages from stories I love with friends, and together create a new myth to fondly recall in the future. - mv (@mayvisit, hypertextcorner.com)

Legends are born from items of power, ordinary circumstance, and tales beyond time. Legend Has It binds all these forces into a deceptively simple deck of cards. Unleash your legends. - Tony from Plus One

No one mixes TTRPG creativity with board game sensibility quite like Adam Bell, and Legend Has It proves he can work his magic with cards as well. A must-buy from one of the scene's most promising up-and-comers. - Tyler Crumrine, Possible Worlds Games
